Newsletter 20/9/12

Dear parents,                                                                            20/9/12

Greetings

Thank you for all your comments and encouragement.  This week, we continued with the concept of habitats.  The children understood the different habitats around them.  They drew pictures, made a collage, wrote observations and made inferences.  In English, emphasis was given to adjectives.  In maths, division of four digit number with a single digit number with and without remainder.  It is found that many of my students are not well-versed with tables.  Please encourage perfection of tables for that is the basic foundation not only mathematics, but it is essential in day-to-day activities.

The children visited the palliative cancer center at Chavara along with grade XI students.  Their innocent presence enlightened the dull atmosphere of the center.  The children also learnt to sympathize with the less fortunate.

Joanna celebrated her birthday this week and class 3B wishes her loads of happiness and success.

Due to some technical reasons, our trip to Thenmala might be postponed to the next month.

Parents are encouraged to discuss classroom activities with their wards and if you find a reflection of it at home, please inform me.

Regards
Newshee
