Dear parents:

Greetings.

It was indeed a pleasure to meet you all on Saturday October 13, 2012.  The open day marked our first interactive session.  I would like to thank you all for coming over..

On Saturday, the session was devoted to discussing the progress of your child after the first two themes.  The general feedback from parents was that great improvement was seen during the third theme. We should work together to make sure that the progress progresses.

An area of concern was that children have little interest in reading.  I have taken that into consideration and started news reading in class. Today Bharat has already presented the news.  He shall be doing so all through the week.   I shall also be introducing passages for reading in class.

I must say all parent suggestion and support during the open day has boosted my morale and made me at ease. The ice has broken and family feeling has evolved.  I am disappointed I could not meet three parents on the open day. In this busy world, your time is the most the precious thing you can give your child.  So kindly keep up the next appointment.

We will be completing the third theme this week.  The next theme is “How We Express Ourselves”, where we shall be dealing with “Signs and symbols are part of human made systems that facilitate local and global communication.”

We will be having assessments throughout the end of the month.

Regards,
Newshee Thahir
